"Michael (Mike) Dewayne Key was born October 21, 1962, in Marion, Indiana, to James and Sharon Jones Key. He was proceeded in by his paternal grandparents, the late James Martin and Sara Emaline Richardson Key, and his maternal grandparents, the late Wade Jr. and Laura Abrams Jones. Micheal leaves behind his wife of twelve years , Sheilla of Auburn Kentucky, one son Jason of Bowling Green Kentucky, three daughters, Ashley Key of Franklin, Kacie Hubbard of Bowling Green, Stephanie (Josh) Cowels of Franklin, one stepson Dustin Hullet ( Dana) of Whitehouse Tennessee one stepdaughter Misti Scarborough of Russellville Kentucky, 18 Grandchildren Hunter Key, Logan (Olivia) Key, Caleb Key, Catlin Key, Savannah Key, Preston ( Alle) Key, Mallory Key, Johnathan (Hannah) Key, Maddison Key, Natalie Key, Morgan Summers, Masie Summers, Myles Summers, Western ( Destiny) VanMeter, Carson Beachy, Carrah Beachy, Bradley Hullet, Kinsley Hullet. Six great grandchildren, Gracelynn VanMeter, Jackson Key, Ansley Key, Sophia Cowels, Skyye Collins, and Lucas Key. Michaels parents James and Sharon would move to Franklin Kentucky, his dad's childhood home, to raise their six children. Michael attended Franklin Simpson High School and was a graduate of the class of 1980. At the very young age of eight, Michael picked up the hobby of putting the model cars together and learned to spray paint at an early age. Micheal also loved to sketch and design new body styles for cars and trucks and had great talent in doing this, but it was when Michael was just 14 years old that a gentleman by the name of Mr. James Spears would give Michael a job in his automotive repair shop, just a block from Michaels home that Michael would find his calling. Michael loved that he was actually building and painting wrecked vehicles and making them look like new. Michael would go on to become one of, if not the best, body repair man around these parts for many years. The man to go to was Michael Key is the best. He can fix anything and make the paint on a vehicle look like glass. Michael loved this line of work so much that it was more like a hobby to him. Michael also loved drag racing and had a race car that he raced for several years . One of his, his dads, and his two brothers, Martin and Billy's favorite pastime, and they would often take off and spend the whole weekend at different tracks. Michael would go on to marry his high school sweetheart Cynthia Huff at a very young age, and Micheal would become a father at a young age in his life. He would learn the good and the very hard things in life, raising a family. It wasn't always easy, but he loved his family, and his children made him happy. He would do anything to make sure they were happy and taken care of. Later in life, Michael would remarry the " Love Of His Life" Sheilla, and he would gain two children right off that he would love and treat as his own. Micheal was happy, and he had Sheilla, who loved him and treated him like a king. He had grandchildren he loved more than anything and great grandchildren he was enjoying spoil. He loved children, and he loved making them laugh, and nothing made him happier than being around his grand babies. One of Michaels biggest joys in life was to have a child hugging him around his neck. He is going to be terribly missed by them all and by his family and friends as well. "
