Life story

" Patricia (Pat) Jean (Johnson) Robinson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota deep in the heart of the depression August 9th, 1932. Raised in a close knit family in the upper Midwest in her youth, she was then abruptly thrusted West in the Fall of 1948 as a junior in High School, when her parents Russell and Hazel along with her older sister Lois, decided that Southern California was calling with warmer weather to assist with her father's challenging health issues. They landed in Pasadena where she graduated from South Pasadena High and then later from Pasadena City College and UCLA. She majored in Home Economics at UCLA, that showcased her dedication to all things family and home management. She married in 1954 to Frank Robinson and were blessed with two children, daughter Carol and son Jim. She was an avid sewer, cook and loved to tend to her rose garden. Pat was gifted with a love and care for her husband, children and community. She enjoyed her church and PEO group to connect with her friends and share in making the San Gabriel Valley a better place to live. In her later years, she was blessed with four granddaughters and two great-granddaughters. She will be remembered as Grandma Patty the matriarch and provider of home cooked meals, Christmas cookies and a welcome home of memorable family get togethers. This was her signature identity being around her loving family especially during the holidays.
She is survived by her devoted son, Jim, her four granddaugthers, Elizabeth , Bridget, Andrea, Christine and her two greatgranddaughers Amelia and Adeline. "
