It is with deep sorrow and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Eugene Jon Banks. Eugene was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, cherished brother, and loyal friend whose strength, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family touched everyone who knew him.
Eugene leaves behind his loving wife, Janis Banks; his brother, Carl Banks; and his sister, Gayle Banks. He was a proud and loving father to Shyanna Banks, Angela Banks, and Crystal Banks Pitts, and a respected father-in-law to Moses Pitts. He also leaves behind his beloved godson, Ceonte Banks, and his treasured granddaughters, Sayuri Banks, Anya Wilson, and Sy’hir Banks, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.
Known as a true jack of all trades, Eugene was a hardworking and dedicated man who never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Whether family, friends, or neighbors needed support, advice, or simply someone to stand beside them, Eugene was always there. His generosity and dependable spirit made him someone others could always count on.
Throughout his life, Eugene faced many hardships and challenges, yet he met each one with determination, resilience, and quiet strength. He carried himself with fierce independence and pride, never allowing difficult times to define him. His perseverance was inspiring to those around him and reflected the deep courage within his heart.
Above all else, Eugene’s greatest love was his family. The love he gave so freely, the lessons he taught, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Though his presence will be deeply missed, his spirit, laughter, and enduring love will never be forgotten.
He will be missed beyond words and remembered always with love."
