Life story

" Kevin graduated from the College of William and Mary, where he met the love of his life, Courtney. He then attended the Medical College of Virginia, where he received his PhD. He had a distinguished career as a research scientist at the National Institutes of Health from 1983-2017. He founded and lead the Flow Cytometry Section for NIAID, for most of his career.

Those who knew Kevin, knew a quiet and gentle man who expressed his caring for his family and others in so many ways. He loved and was so proud of his two children, Eric and Cara. He was a scientist by nature and loved to research everything around him. His dogs were his constant companions and all of nature was a source of interest and comfort to him. He loved a really, thoroughly, researched, good cup of coffee! Woodworking was his passion and his attention to detail and meticulousness resulted in exquisite work.. Most important to him was his faith in God. He belonged to the Anglican Church and actively participated in God's work through church services, bible study, vestry work and helping others.

Kevin leaves behind his family and friends who will mourn his loss by remembering him and all the ways he touched their lives and enriched them. He will be forever missed.
