" Sunrise Monday October 3, 1960 – Sunset Monday April 27, 2026.

Cheryl Lane Lesh Shook, 65, of Milford, Virginia, passed away on April 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on October 3, 1960, Cheryl brought light, love, and positivity into the world from her very first day. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, Grandmother “Lala,” sister, and daughter whose warm smile and caring heart touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Cheryl is survived by her beloved husband, Jerry G. Shook, with whom she shared a deep and enduring partnership. She was the proud mother of daughters Tiffany Raye Bell and Brittany Lesha Edwards. She cherished her role as “Lala” to her precious grandchildren: Kaylee, Christian, Brennen, Jaylenn, Maple, and Brody. She adored Her Brothers; Richard “Rick” LaVerne Lesh and Rodney Kent Lesh and Sisters; Deborah Lee Gayle and Lanta Jo Newton. Her family was the center of her world, and she poured boundless love, encouragement, and joy into every moment spent with them.

Known for her positive spirit and caring nature, Cheryl had a gift for making others feel seen, valued, and uplifted. She loved all of God’s creatures.

From a young age, Cheryl’s compassionate spirit shone brightly. As a teenager, she lovingly cared for an abandoned baby deer she named Babe, nursing it back to health and taking on the mother role with the same tenderness and dedication she would later show her own family.

She approached life with kindness and optimism, leaving a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her Mother; Ruth Elizabeth Lingenfelter Lesh, Father; Frederick “Fred” Burdell Lesh, Brother; Richard “Rick” LaVerne Lesh, Sister; Lanta Jo Newton, Granddaughter; Maple Rae Bell.

A celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held privately with immediate family.

Cheryl’s light may have set, but the love she gave so freely will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
