Hector was born in El Carrizo, Nuevo Leon on the 30th of May 1947, to his loving parents Eustolio and Leonor Rodriguez. He grew up on el ranchito that belonged to his family, herding sheep in the hills at a young age to do his part in a family of hard working ranchers and sheep herders. At 12 years of age he and his family moved to Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. There he learned that he had quite the talent for music. At 16 he began to master instruments like the guitar and accordion, not long after he found himself making music with a band and performing for crowds. Everything changed though when he met what would be his future wife San Juanita at the age of 19 years old. He was absolutely enamored with her, there are plenty of stories of him charming her with serene music played from the heart. This is also the same time when Hector found the Lord and his life would forever be changed. On September the 15th 1968 Hector and San Juanita were married in the presence of our Lord and their families.

With his new family established Hector and San Juanita began to make their family grow all while in a new land the United States. They proceeded, over the coming years to have 6 amazing children, who would later give Hector 13 wonderful grandchildren and they would give him 3 darling great grandchildren.

After moving to the USA, Hector became a US citizen, from there he gave more then a couple decades of his life to the PSJA school district as a Master Level Plumber all while maintaining the ideals given to him by his parents, that is hard work and dedication. He applied those principles in everything he did, including the study of his Bible. If there is one thing that could have been said about Hector, it's that he was a man of God and a man of prayer. Throughout his life Hector truly touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with through prayer, whether it was directly or indirectly hearts were touched and people were blessed because of his actions in faith and prayer. Hector was a man that impressed the ideals of faith, hardwork, and love.

Hector was always a man of outstanding character, he knew no enemies, even those who wronged him were forgiven. Everyone was always welcome at the family BBQs, where he took pleasure in the comfort of his family and friends. He always was at the ready with his folded paper towel or napkin, looking to snag a bite or 2 from whatever delicious meat was on the grill. His love for music had never died, he would play any number of songs for the enjoyment of friends and family alike. Hector is a man of joy.

Sadly, Hector was called home by his Lord and Savior on April the 30th 2026. And at the same time we can take comfort he was called home, because now he is where a man like him belongs and deserves, in the arms of our Lord. Amen.

Hector's legacy continues through his remaining family. His wife and love San Juanita Rodriguez, his dearly loved sister Mauricia Rodriguez, his children Alicia Simmons and her husband Rickey, Yesenia Rodriguez, Enoc Rodriguez and his wife Normalynda, Noemi Rodriguez, Isai Rodriguez, and Marinelly Tabor and her husband Doyle.

Héctor nació en El Carrizo, Nuevo León, el 30 de Mayo de 1947, hijo de sus amorosos padres Eustolio y Leonor Rodríguez. Creció en el ranchito que pertenecía a su familia, pastoreando ovejas en los cerros a temprana edad para poner de su parte en una familia de rancheros y pastores trabajadores. A los 12 años de edad, él y su familia se mudaron a Monterrey, Nuevo León. Allí descubrió que tenía un gran talento para la música. A los 16 años comenzó a dominar instrumentos como la guitarra y el acordeón, y poco después se encontró haciendo música con un grupo y tocando ante multitudes. Sin embargo, todo cambió cuando conoció a la que sería su futura esposa, San Juanita, a la edad de 19 años. Estaba absolutamente enamorado de ella; hay muchas historias de cómo la conquistaba con música serena tocada desde el corazón. Esta es también la misma época en que Héctor encontró al Señor y su vida cambiaría para siempre.
El 15 de Septiembre de 1968, Héctor y San Juanita se casaron en presencia de nuestro Señor y de sus familias.

Con su nueva familia establecida, Héctor y San Juanita comenzaron a crecer, todo esto en una nueva tierra, los Estados Unidos. Con el paso de los años, tuvieron 6 hijos increíbles, quienes más tarde le darían a Héctor 13 maravillosos nietos y 3 queridos bisnietos.

Después de mudarse a los EE. UU., Héctor se convirtió en ciudadano estadounidense y dedicó más de un par de décadas de su vida al distrito escolar de PSJA como plomero de nivel maestro, manteniendo siempre los ideales transmitidos por sus padres: el trabajo duro y la dedicación. Aplicó esos principios en todo lo que hacía, incluyendo el estudio de su Biblia. Si hay algo que se pudiera decir de Héctor, es que fue un hombre de Dios y un hombre de oración. A lo largo de su vida, Héctor realmente tocó las vidas de todos los que conoció a través de la oración; ya fuera directa o indirectamente, los corazones fueron tocados y la gente fue bendecida gracias a sus acciones de fe y oración. Héctor fue un hombre que transmitió los ideales de fe, trabajo duro y amor.Héctor siempre fue un hombre de carácter sobresaliente, no conocía enemigos; incluso aquellos que le hicieron daño fueron perdonados. Todos eran siempre bienvenidos a las barbacoas familiares, donde disfrutaba de la compañía de su familia y amigos. Siempre estaba listo con su servilleta de papel doblada, buscando llevarse uno o dos bocados de cualquier carne deliciosa que estuviera en la parrilla. Su amor por la música nunca murió; tocaba canciones para el disfrute de amigos y familiares por igual. Héctor es un hombre de alegría.

Lamentablemente, Héctor fue llamado a casa por su Señor y Salvador el 30 de Abril de 2026. Al mismo tiempo, podemos consolarnos de que fue llamado a casa, porque ahora está donde un hombre como él pertenece y merece: en los brazos de nuestro Señor. Amén.

El legado de Héctor continúa a través de su familia sobreviviente: Su esposa y amor, San Juanita Rodríguez; su muy querida hermana, Mauricia Rodríguez; sus hijos, Alicia Simmons y su esposo Rickey, Yesenia Rodríguez, Enoc Rodríguez y su esposa Normalynda, Noemí Rodríguez, Isaí Rodríguez y Marinelly Tabor y su esposo Doyle.
