Life story

"Sharell Nichole Dear was born September 14,1975. She was the eldest daughter of Simon and Saundra Howard. She was their pride and joy. By the time she turned 3 years old Sharell could tell you her full name, recite her abc’s and a few math questions. Sharell excelled in in school quickly. Always brining home all A’s on her report card. Once she brought home a B and was very disappointed with herself. In six grade Sharell was the President of the student council and took pride in introducing the Principal and his staff during school assembly’s. a dignitary from the US capital was so impressed with her he told Sharell to look him up when she finished college. Sharell taught her sister Shawntae many things she knew. When Shawntae was yet too young to attend school she would cry because she wanted to go with her sister instead of being left home with her boring mother. Sharell made going school look like fun. Shawntae had no problem taking her shoe off beating a student in the head with it who was bullying her big sister that she loved so dearly. Sharell would gather up her sister and younger cousins to play school with them. She was the tough teacher making sure that they understood the lesson that she put before them. Sharell was the “proud wife of Michael Jackson.”No one could say that she wasn’t. She would go crazy when she would see him on television. She would cry and hide her face so no one would laugh at her. she and her cousin Marnette would often argue about that position. Her mother Saundra would intervene and set them both straight. Michael was all hers. There was a contest in Cleveland called the Billie Jean Show Down at the Cleveland Public Hall. At 8yrs old, her Mother Saundra entered Sharell in the contest. Sharell had all the moves except for the moon walk. Her cousin Steve tried to show her how to do. She just couldn’t quite get it. But it was enough so she wouldn’t look bad. Her grandmother Jeanette bought her a Michael Jackson costume. Just before Sharell started to perform her uncle Terry called her to the End of the stage and gave her a pair of sunglasses. She did her thing. Her mother screamed out That’s my Daughter. Well Sharell won second place. The prize was a color television. Just like Joe Jackson did in the movie An American Dream didn’t except the television neither did Saundra Dee. They kept it moving. Shawntae said If Y’all don’t want It. I do. Sharell continued to grow academically. She landed the position President of the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) at her high school encouraging students to say no to drugs. Sharell became very popular in school. In tenth grade she won the title of “Duches of Shaw” and wore her crown proudly. Sharell was a member of the Shaw High Schools Debate Team as well and won several debates for the team. She had several trophies to prove it. Sharell entered another contest Home Coming Queen. She was the 1st runner up. So right before graduation, Sharell entered The Miss Ohio Pageant of achievement. She won. She couldn’t wait to wear her crown proudly to school. She said “ I didn’t win the school crown I won the state crown. She a received a full Academic Scholarship to The Ohio State University. She acquired an Associate’s Paralegal Degree 2 Bachelor Degrees 1 in Phycology and the other Pre-Law.
