Life story

"Mary passed away April 11 surrounded by her daughter Wanda her granddaughter Erika and Son law Mike. Mary aka Betty was born in a house on Van Dorn. She was the 7th of 8 children. Mary graduated from Robert E Lee High School in 1962. In 1963 she met Rodney Payne aka Ronnie. They married in January 1964. They went on to have 4 children Jeff, Gregg, Rhonda and Wanda. Mary loved raising her children and stayed home with them until the youngest turned 8. She went back to work and enjoyed it and the people she met. She loved to play bingo and go to the casinos, but the best time for her was spending time with family especially her kids and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her exceptional work ethic and dedication to her family and friends. She lived life fearlessly, with unwavering strength and never settled for less. Her witty and amazing sense of humor will be missed by many."
