Life story

" It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Daniel Paul Mitchell. He passed away on April 8, 2026, surrounded by his loving children.

Daniel was born on May 12, 1955. He grew up in Livonia and attended Churchill High School, where he graduated in 1974. He went on to work for his father, Engelbert, in the family business for over 30 years.

Dan enjoyed hunting, fishing, trips up north, and most importantly, spending time with his children and grandchildren, whom he loved and adored.

He was preceded in death by his father, Engelbert Mitchell; his mother, Shirley Mitchell; and his sister, Kim Mitchell. He is survived by his son, Daniel Paul Mitchell II (Kandice Mitchell), and daughter, Stephanie Mitchell; his granddaughter, McKenzie; his grandsons, Daniel Paul Mitchell III, Axel Mitchell, and Ozzy Mitchell; his brother, Craig Mitchell (Kimberlee Mitchell); and many other family members and friends.

A celebration of life for Dan will be held in the coming weeks.
