Life story

" Tom Buck, a devoted family man, successful entrepreneur, and long time Texas resident, past away leaving behind a legacy of hard work, love, and cherished memories.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Tom later traveled to Buffalo, New York, where he met the love of his life, Donna. After their marriage, the couple relocated to Texas, where they built a life centered on family, business and community.
Tom established a successful career in commercial real estate, working as a broker before pursuing his entrepreneurial spirit by founding his own company specializing in warehouse properties. His ambition, determination, and business acumen earned him both professional success and the respect of his peers.
Outside of his career, Tom found his greatest joy spending time with his family, particularly on the lakes of Texas. He fondly remembered his first boat, amply named The Five Bucks, and remained an avid boating enthusiast throughout his life. He was an active member of the Lake Texoma Coast Guard and kept his boats at Eisenhauer Yacht Club. The family later created lasting memories at Cedar Creek Lake, where they enjoyed fishing, water skiing and jet skiing together.
Tom also had a passion for animals and was known for owning and breeding Macaw parrots. After selling the lake house, he moved to Flower Mound Texas, where he enjoyed walking the trails around Lake Grapevine with his family.
Following the passing of his beloved wife, Donna, Tom moved to Nothlake Texas, where he lived across the street from his daughter, Elizabeth, and next door to his granddaughter Shannon. He affectionately referred to this close-knit arrangement as "the compound", a place where he spent his retirement surrounded by family and love.
Tom will be remembered for his entrepreneurial spirit, his love of the water, and above all, his deep devotion to his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he created with those who knew and loved him. "
