She was born on March 25, 1959, in Falmouth, Virginia, to Janet Cox and Carl Cox. Pam spent her life rooted in the community she loved, working at Falmouth Elementary, Drew middle school and Colonial Forge High school where she met many close friends. Pam attended Falmouth Baptist church majority of her life, where she built a life centered around family and faith.

Pam was a loving wife, mother, Memaw, sister, and aunt who cherished her family deeply. She is survived by her sons, Reece Lawrence Banks Sr. and Gregory Taft Banks, and their wives, Brandi Banks and Leesa Banks; her stepdaughter, Angela Fortune, and her husband, Chris Fortune; her sister, Dona Banks, and her beloved grandchildren, Amber Hilton, Autumn Fortune, Cheyenne Blankenship, Carlee Banks, Mason Banks, RJ Banks, Levi Banks, Camden Banks, Christopher Fortune, and Zoey Banks; and her great-granddaughter, Tatum Blankenship.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Janet Cox and Carl Cox, and her husband, Gregory Banks.

Pam will be remembered as a woman of faith who trusted in the Lord and lived her life guided by His love. She was known for her kindness, her steady strength, and her caring heart. She found comfort in prayer and drew strength from her belief in God, especially in times spent with her family. Pamela’s greatest joy was her family, and she showed her love through her actions, always offering support, encouragement, and care. Her faith was an important part of who she was, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and faith that will continue through her family.

We take comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of the Lord.

Pam will be deeply missed and forever loved.
