Life story

"Born on February 16, 1972, at Mercy Hospital in San Antonio, she was the second child of Wilma and Rayford Batey. Patrice grew up in San Antonio and attended Gordon Junior High and Sam Houston High School, graduating in 1990. She furthered her education at St. Philip's College while beginning her career with the San Antonio Independent School District that same year. Throughout her tenure with the district, Patrice earned numerous awards and accolades for her exceptional service and dedication.
In 1994, Patrice married the late Donald Wallace. Though their marriage ended in divorce a few years later, Patrice found her greatest joy in life when she became a mother to her beloved daughter, Mya.
Patrice was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and aunt who cherished spending time with her family. She had a passion for traveling, shopping, cooking, and creating lasting memories with loved ones. Her warmth and vibrant spirit touched all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter Mya; her mother Wilma; sisters Tina (John), Tanya (Kendra), and Regina; as well as many nieces and nephews. Patrice also leaves behind a host of cherished relatives and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
