Life story

" Mark was born and raised in Billings, Montana. He met his wife, Kim, in 1987, and they were married in June of 1988. They lived happily in Billings while Mark worked at Job Connection, Inc., helping adults with disabilities find meaningful jobs. He loved being a job coach, and delighted in helping his clients become self-sufficient and productive. An active member at Rimrock Baptist Church, he began teaching adult Sunday School, and soon after felt called to preach the Word of God. He was encouraged by his pastor, John Hunn, to pursue seminary training, and in 1997, he and Kim packed up and moved to the Los Angeles area so he could attend The Master’s Seminary. He left California five years later with a seminary degree, the indescribable blessing of their two lovely children, and a desire to serve and teach in a local church. That desire brought them to Culpeper, Virginia in 2004, where he has been teaching and preaching the Word of God ever since. For the last 17 years he has served God’s faithful flock at Grace Fellowship Bible Church, and he has made many disciples there. Mark dedicated his life to accurately handling the Word and ministering to the people of God. He was a devoted husband, active and present father, and a faithful friend. He faced the end of his life as he had throughout the rest of his life, with a firm faith in the Creator God he served and a belief in the resurrection to come. He will be greatly missed. "
