Life story

"Gina, a native of Maryland, was adopted into the Mansell Family at six months old after being born with hip dysplasia. The Mansell family provided her with healing and unconditional love.

She was a devoted mother to her two sons, Alan and Jonathan, and raised them in Hertford, North Carolina. During her time in North Carolina, she proudly served with Perquimans County EMS.

In 1997, Gina relocated to Stafford, Virginia, for a job opportunity as a property manager for Storage USA, seeking to enhance the lives of her and her sons.

Later in life, she found joy in traveling alongside Meryl Kessler of Stafford, Virginia, the love of her life, in the "BIG TRUCK," always accompanied by her cherished Yorkshire terrier, Aiden.

On February 25, 2026, Gina peacefully passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family, to be with our Lord.

Gina's infectious smile and beautiful spirit will be deeply missed by all her family and friends."
