Life story

" A legacy of Creativity and Love

Leigh Hutton Hooper was born on November 30th 1964 in Morgantown, West Virginia to parents Thomas Leroy Hooper Jr. and Carolyn Mary Cohoe. Growing up in New Jersey she was known for her kindness and fondly remembers her Columbia High School class.

She attended culinary school after high school and also continued her education later in life at George Mason University. She was passionate about quilting, cooking, and all kinds of artwork which shaped her into a resilient and expressive person.

In 1995, she married Steven Matthew Darcy and they began their life together. As a devoted mother to Phillip Thomas Hooper Darcy, Elizabeth Jane Hooper Darcy Lasley, and Abigail Marlene Hooper Darcy, she brought love and life to the world. She loved her children fiercely and was active in their lives. Her community will always remember her help with the Kettle Run marching band. Later in life she continued her career working with children throughout the Fauquier County Public School system most recently at H. M. Pearson where she showed patience and love to all those she came in contact with.
