" It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Juan Carlos Velez who passed away on Monday, February 12, 2026 at the age of 62. He was a beloved father, husband, friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Life Story

Juan Carlos was born on May 13, 1959 in Ponce, Puerto Rico to Emanuel Velez and Yasmin Martinez Velez. He lived a full and vibrant life, marked by kindness, generosity, dedication to family.
Juan Carlos worked as a welder for 25 years, where he was known for positive qualities. He married Yasmin on 07/16/1986 and together they built a loving home filled with laughter and warmth. He was passionate about basketball and spent many happy hours watching and playing basketball with his beloved son.

Juan Carlos Velez is survived by his spouse Yasmin Martinez Velez. His kids Bryan Velez (Trista May), Juliette Velez, and many other loving relatives and friends.
Service Information

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 2:00pm. Funeral will be February 28, 2026 at 4:00pm at Funeraria J. Oliver.
We will always carry Juan Carlos in our hearts. The big heart he had and always willing to help others will never be forgotten. "
