Life story
"Born in New Brunswick New Jersey.
He enjoyed the Atlantic Beaches, boating, making models and painting.
He lived in Lake Nelson and Bay Head as a child. As a teen lived in Marana, Arizona and helped raise his siblings from his father's second marriage.
He joined the Navy and served on a subtender in Norfolk Va, and then served on the USS battleship New Jersey in Vietnam. He was stationed in California and Greatly enjoyed the Phillipines and Japan.
After the Navy he returned to NJ. He received a BA in socialwork and worked in Geriatics.
He went for treatment at Fair Oaks. He was always proud of his AA recovery of over 50 years from alcohol and valium.
He married a psychiatric nurse Alice and had one daughter Phayth. He worked hard every day to be a good husband and father. He was successful.
He received a MA in Education and worked in addiction recovery as a councilor, manager and director. He positively effected many lives but grew tired of the politics of Agencies.
He sold antiques and the focused on restoring antique clocks for many years. Arthritis in his hands made him give up clocks.
He and his wife Alice lived 5 years in a motorhome and toured all 48 lower states and most of eastern Canada.
They settled in Sarasota FL when COVID closed the State Parks.
He restored vintage fountain pens for his own pleasure and gave them to friends family and anyone who he met. No one was left out.
A life well lived until appendix cancer took his life."
