Life story

"on August 26, a beautiful soul was born, Dontrell Pollard. He was given life by Sylvester pollard and Blythia Smith. He was a unique individual and definitely one of a kind. He grew up with lots of siblings and was proud of his southern background. As a boy becoming a man, he attended Fremont elementary and Greenfield middle school. He successfully graduated high school after dedicating 10 years to arm security. He attended Bakersfield College with aspirations of becoming a correctional or law in first enforcement officer.
Dontrell was always eager to expand his horizons and embrace new challenges. Beyond his professional endeavors, he enjoyed being a devoted husband, father, son, son-in-law, brother and friend. He was loud, loving, a whole headache, and emotional but passionate. His ability to protect and provide will ultimately be missed and he will forever be our safe place. The legacy of Dontrell Pollard lives on through the memories shared by his survivor, family and friends. He is forever treasured by his loving wife Nefertiti Pollard. He leaves behind his children, Clara, Josiah. In addition, he will be missed by his siblings Keishonia, Jaquan, Bobby, Latora and Eddie.
He was received in heaven by his grandmother Clara Mae and Mother Blythia. He was blessed with many more loved ones who were lost, but not forgotten. He was also blessed with nieces and nephews. Dontrell was taken from us and his passing ultimately leaves a void that can never be filled. His memory will live on through the lives. He touched and the heart he warmed."
