Life story

" Charlene Curtis Snyder, 68, of Spotsylvania, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Charlene was born on January 27, 1958, in Spotsylvania, VA, where she was a lifetime resident. Her favorite things in life were worshiping at church, going to the beach, and spoiling her grandchildren. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and her ability to make everyone around her feel cared for and loved.

She is survived by her three children; Amber Smithson (Josh), Angie Bruce (Stephen), and Shane Snyder (Deja); Six grandchildren, Camryn, Bentley, Nathan, Ayden, Abram, and Silas; Three siblings, Ronnie Curtis (Connie), Sherry Lunsford (Lawrence), and Terry Curtis (Toni). She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and very close friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents George and Elsie Curtis.

Charlene will be deeply loved and missed forever.

A memorial service will be held on March 7th, at 11:00 am, at Sylvania Heights Baptist Church, located at 150 Church Street, Fredericksburg VA, 22408.” "
