"Arleen Howell, beloved mother, friend, and creative soul, passed away peacefully on January 24, 206 at the age of 86. Her life was marked by generosity, resilience, and a warmth that made everyone feel at home in her presence.

Raised in Bloomington, she maintained close bonds with many of her high school classmates, friendships that became lifelong sources of laughter, support, and joy. Outgoing and full of life, she had a natural ability to bring people together and make them feel valued.

A devoted mother, she raised her two children on her own with unwavering love and strength. She sacrificed endlessly to give them the best life she could, always placing their needs above her own. Her love was steady, fierce, and foundational.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Howell , and her son, James L. Hazard. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa A. Hazard. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched with her kindness, creativity, and enduring spirit."
