Life story

" Maria “Margie” Harris, age 77, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family, onDecember 16, 2025, at her home in Stafford, Virginia. She was born on December 8, 1948, in Gubat Sorsogon, Philippines. She remained in the Philippines until meeting her first husband and father of her daughters, Guy A. Edsall
Margie was a vibrant and joyful woman, best known for her love of dancing, her infectious laughter, and her ability to make everyone around her smile. Her love of travel led her to live in and explore several countries throughout her life, experiences she treasured and often shared through stories and laughter. She loved parties and celebrations of all kinds and found great joy in spending time with her friends every day at work as well as gathering with her family whenever possible.
A true survivor, Margie was passionate about working hard, staying strong, and praying for everyone she loved. Her faith, resilience, and generous heart touched many lives.
She is survived by her four daughters and sons-in-law: Gwendolyn and Paul Akers; Mary and Michael Hoover; Melinda and John Armstrong; and Anna and Nyle Friel. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Ashley, Tanner, Kaylee, Kerra, Angelina, Shelby, Logan, and Colleen, as well as her beloved great-grandchildren:Peyton, Michael, Jaelen, and Ozzy.
Margie’s legacy of laughter, strength, and love will live on in all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date by her family and loved ones."
