" Mike Porter passed today with all his family and friends at home. Mike Porter was more than just a husband,a father and Poppop —he was the heart that kept his family beating in rhythm. Every morning you could hear the rock n roll playing in the distance, A/C DC thumping as he prepared to tackle the everyday battles he lived for. Before the sun had fully risen, he’d have his bandana tied tight and his bubba cup full of tea ready to go and get the day started.
To his children Candise Porter, Joshua Schuldt, Jessica Schuldt. Mike was their hero teaching them to drive a manual jeep how to work on cars. He was the one who showed up to be a dad when the others failed to his grandchildren,teaching them to mow grass ride a bike. No matter the problem he never gave up. His hugs had a way of making the world feel safe again. He didn’t just listen—he understood. Whether it was scraped knees or broken hearts, Mike met every pain with sympathy and every success with pride.
To his wife Wanda Porter he was a partner in every sense. The kind of man who would slow dance in the kitchen after dinner, to water gun fights just because. He didn’t need fancy words to show love—his actions spoke louder. He fixed what was broken, supported what needed strength, and celebrated even the smallest joys to everyone else who knew him—neighbors, friends, even the cashier at the corner store Mike Porter was a friend you could count on and his legacy became one of love that didn’t fade with time. Mike will be greatly missed by his family and friends. "
