" Sun McGinley

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother, Sun Ok McGinley, who left us peacefully on November 1, 2025.

Born on November 13, 1952 in Seoul, Korea, Sun lived a life filled with courage and strength. She was a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth touched everyone she met.

Sun was known for her love of Bingo, her passion for art and her firecracker personality. She taught those around her the meaning of compassion, resilience, and unconditional love.

She is survived by her children, Allen Grim and his wife, Leigh Ann, and Diane Carlisle and her husband, Justin; eight grandchildren; and her siblings. She was preceded in death by Thomas McGinley.

Honoring her request, there will be no funeral service. The family extends their heartfelt thanks for the outpouring of love and support.

Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that Sun’s love and light will live on in all of us. Her legacy of kindness and faith will continue to guide us every day. "
