" Barbara Irene Steadman
Barbara Irene Steadman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2025.
Born in Toronto, Canada, Barbara lived a life that took her from the golden sunshine of Southern California to the quiet beauty of Virginia. Wherever she called home, she filled it with warmth, laughter, and love.
Throughout her life, Barbara held various managerial positions in different fields, bringing her sharp mind, organization, and compassion to every role she took on. Outside of work, she found joy in life’s simple pleasures — knitting, stamping, and volunteering at her church, where she made lasting friendships and touched many hearts.
Barbara shared a beautiful life with her devoted husband, Kenneth Steadman, and together they raised three loving daughters: Janet, Cindy, and Jennifer. She was deeply proud of her family and found her greatest happiness in being surrounded by them.
She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren — Brandi; William and Justin; Donny, Danny, and Dusty — and by her treasured great-grandchildren, Hutton, Emory, Brooks, Charlotte, Audrey, Zoe, Allayah, Riley, Alana, Cooper, Elias, and Theo.
Barbara’s love, kindness, and gentle spirit will live on in all who knew her. Her family takes comfort in knowing that her life was full, her heart was generous, and her memory will forever be a blessing. "
