Life story

" Janet was beloved by many. She was a long-time resident of Dumfries VA. Janet stayed busy raising six rambunctious children as well as serving others in her community. She was an employee at our local Northern VA newspaper, the Potomac News in the 1970's where she and her mom, Dorothy, worked together for a number of years stacking and bundling papers for delivery.
She was a member of Grace Chapel Christian Church in Stafford VA.
Her favorite pastimes included bingo, bowling with her husband, Jr, spending time with family and more recently discovering slots at the casino. She loved Jesus, Christian and country music, and watching old westerns on TV.

Janet was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Elmer Roscoe Fulkerson Jr., her son David Fulkerson, and her parents Ernest and Dorothy Stewart.

Janet is survived by her children Elmer Roscoe (Kathy) Fulkerson III, Sandra (Tom) Buckley, Veronica (Tim) OConnell, Douglas (Vickie Stanley) Fulkerson and Clarence (Connie) Fulkerson.
She also leaves behind two brothers and two sisters, Shirley Heflin, Ronald (Nita) Stewart, Edward (Cindy) Stewart, Velma Williamson and her brother-in-law Sidney Robert (Barbara) Fulkerson.

Her memory lives on with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. "
