Life story

"Carolyn Frances Aylor or Connie as she was known to those she was close to was born in Washington DC. She grew up in Madison and Orange Counties and graduated from Orange County High School in 1958.
She attended Stuart Circle Hospital School of Nursing and became a Registered Nurse. Carolyn served in the Air Force as a nurse followed by working for the Children’s Hospital and VA hospitals in Richmond, the Rhode Island Hospital, and the UVA University Hospital. She loved being a nurse and continued her career into her 70’s. Before entering into retirement, she worked as a dialysis nurse on cruise ships where she traveled extensively.
Carolyn was a dynamic, witty, intelligent, and fiercely independent woman. She loved to be on the go, whether it be shopping with her sisters or going on trips to the beach with her friends. She lived life on her terms and will be greatly missed by her friends and family."
