Life story

"Horace Kelley Hopkins, Boogie to his family and many friends, passed away on August 14th, 2025 at home in Manassas, Virginia. Born September 24th, 1990, Boogie was an avid Redskins fan and music lover. He enjoyed playing guitar and making music, especially with other musicians. He was always sharing the music he loved and continued to research music, past and present, for the stories and the musicians behind the song. He was also an avid reader and loved to learn and share his knowledge of everything. Boogie leaves behind his Father H. Michael Hopkins (Darlene); Mother Lisa Fernatt (Steve); Brothers Mathew Hopkins (Kelly); Corey Hopkins (Jennifer); Sister Jessica Hopkins; Grandparents Roy and Nancy Short; Uncle Darin Short (Susan); Loving Partner Beth Cummings; Nephew Joshua Hopkins; Nieces Addison Hopkins; Madeline & Miranda Peterson. Preceded in Death by Grandparents Horace and Margaret Hopkins; Aunt Sandy Mcglothlin. He also, leaves behind many extended family members and close friends. Boogie never new a stranger and was a good friend to everyone. He loved everyone deeply and will be tremendously missed by all that knew him.
