Ricardo Ruben Santana, of Maywood, Illinois, passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 70.

Born on September 26, 1954, Ricardo lived a life marked by hard work, love, and devotion to his family. He was a man of simple needs and a generous heart, always giving more than he ever asked for in return. Ricardo had a lifelong love of working with his hands—whether fixing cars, building computers, or sharing his passion for science fiction. He especially enjoyed watching Doctor Who and Star Trek, shows that sparked his imagination and reflected his curious mind.

Ricardo is survived by his beloved, Lucia Santana, his daughters Mary (John) Powers and Michelle (Eduardo) Roque, and his treasured grandchildren Gianna M. Principe, Claudia N. Principe, Donato G. Principe, Tahlia L. Roque, and Bianca D. Roque. He is also survived by his Father, Luis Santana and siblings Sylvia Santana-Vega, Carlos Santana, Juan Martinez, and Jesus Martinez.
