Life story
" Gearl Celestine Williams, 67, of Culpeper, Virginia, entered eternal rest on her birthday, July 23, 2025, in the comfort of her own home.
She was born on July 23, 1958—a day marked by light and creativity—and left this world on that very same date, as if her life had come full circle, completing a divine cycle of grace, purpose, and peace. Her sunrise and sunset both falling on July 23 is a deeply symbolic passage—like a sacred signature from God that her time here was complete. A quiet, beautiful exhale of a life closing one chapter and stepping gracefully into eternity.
Born July 23, 1958, in Fredericksburg, VA, to the late Frank and Edith Williams, Gearl lived a quiet, meaningful life rooted in creativity, compassion, and deep faith. She was a woman of many talents—a self-taught interior decorator, upholstery artist, and crafter with a natural eye for beauty and design. Whether she was sewing curtains, creating stained glass windows, or reinventing a room with her HGTV-inspired flair, her artistic vision, intuitive design sense and her spiritual gift of creativity were unmatched. Gearl poured love into everything she touched.
Those who knew her will remember her infectious laughter, her warm spirit, and the way she made others feel seen and comforted. She had a heart for helping others, a gift for gentle kindness, and a playful sense of humor that never faded.
Gearl is survived by her devoted daughter and only child, Tiffany C. Williams; her sisters, Phyllis Johnson (Temple), Regina Clemons (Johnny), and Cheryl Lewis (Brian); her brother, Frank “Phil” Williams (Joanie); her aunt, Pattie Jones (Jack); her uncle, Jim Jones (Elizabeth); and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She joins in eternal peace with her parents, Frank and Edith Williams; grandparents, Walter and Bertha Bates; her sister, Wanda Jackson; her aunt, Elizabeth “Liz” Jones; her uncle, Jack Jones; and brothers-in-law, Lee Jackson and Johnny Clemons.
