Life story
" Scott was a devoted Washington Commanders fan whose passion for his team was a constant in his life.
But more than that, he was a proud and loving uncle to four nephews, Jayden Maines, Jacob Kendrick, Rylan Waters, and River Waters. He never missed a birthday party or one of their ball games, showing up without fail and always cheering them on from the sidelines with pride in his heart and a smile on his face.
Scott shared a special bond with his younger brother, Corey, a relationship built on deep love, loyalty, and laughter that was evident to everyone around them. Above all Scott loved his mother, Valerie, fiercely- she was his rock and the center of his world.
However, more than anything Scottie will be remembered for his infectious sense of humor and his lifelong mission to make others smile. Especially the MTHC Homies, whom he always found time to check up on. Whether through a funny story or his playful antics, he had a remarkable way of lighting up a room and lifting the spirits of everyone around him.
His laughter was a gift he gave freely, and his warmth and wit left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Though he is no longer with us, the joy he brought to others continues to echo in the hearts and memories of those he loved. A memorial celebration will follow where friends and family can gather and bid goodbye to Big Scott Dawg, just one more time. Please look for the event on Facebook. "

"My heart goes out to the entire Waters’ family during this very difficult time. I will always remember Scott making sure all of the kids had fun at all of the family functions. The light he shed on your family will live forever. I love you all.”

"To those who leave a message, we see you and appreciate you. Please share a memory you have of Scott, so that memory can forever be sealed via Internet archives. Most importantly, those who know Scott and the personal battles he faced everyday. Let’s bring mental health awareness, he was a soldier in his lifelong battle with Schizophrenia. Now he is free from all those demons he was constantly at war with. Unfortunately, those who battle this disease live on average 10-20 years less than those who don’t. #LongLiveScott #MentalHealthAwareness. ”
