Life story
" Kay was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandma. She had an extraordinary gift for nurturing those around her—whether through a warm embrace or a home-cooked meal made from whatever was on hand. Her kitchen was always open; even in her final days she found ways to feed those who were caring for her. Her sense of humor brought light into every room she entered. She was the funny one—the one who made sure everyone felt seen, supported and never left hungry. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, a child of God through and through. Kay held close the promise of scripture “We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8) that confidence carried her through life joys and trials alike. Kay’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her—as a woman who gave selflessly, laughed freely, loved deeply and believe faithfully. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her. "
