" Mary Elizabeth Weeks (Brown)

Mary Elizabeth Weeks (Brown), age 87, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025, in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Born on November 6, 1937, in Lincoln, Virginia, she lived a vibrant and full life marked by her love for family, a passion for connection, and a spirit of adventure.

Mary graduated from Fairfax High School in 1956. Throughout her life, she remained deeply rooted in the values of community and kinship. She cherished time spent with loved ones and found joy in the simple pleasures of life-crocheting intricate patterns with care, collecting recipes that brought people together around the table, and engaging in lively conversations that reflected her warm and social nature.

She was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter Charity Renee Shelton; her son Shawn Mozingo; her daughter Elizabeth Anne Mozingo; her parents Mary and Leslie Brown and partner Paul Dixon.

Mary is lovingly remembered by her brother Donald Brown; her sons, Starley (Rick) Shelton (Neri); Patrick Mozingo (Teresa); Michael Mozingo; Daniel Dornseif (Marie); daughter Denise Bayne (Norman), nieces Lesley Loscasio (John); Pam Boggess (James); and nephew Donald Brown Jr.; 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Her legacy lives on through those who knew and loved her.

A celebration of Mary's life will held on a future date.

She lived as she pleased-full of adventure-and leaves behind memories that will continue to bring comfort to those who knew her.
