Life story
"Antoinette Monique Schermerhorn (Beaulac), 47, born on October 6, 1977 in Norfolk VA, passed away unexpectedly on April 12, 2025.
She grew up, and spent most her life in upstate NY. This is where she raised her children, Kevin, Meghan, Alexis, and Seth, and later married her devoted husband, Greg, of 20 years. Tonie enjoyed waitressing at a multitude of restaurants in the Upstate, New York area. She thrived off Interacting with people of all walks of life, and keeping busy.
She was a quick thinker, fearless, spoke freely and always left a statement. However, to know her was to know that she was a fairly simple woman. A simple card would brighten her day. She held on to that, as well as her unique elephant trinket collection, as keepsakes near and dear to her heart.
Tonie found immense joy spending time with family and friends doing just about anything. She loved playing lots and lots of bingo, dancing, singing, yearly family camping trips, Milwaukee best beers “the beasts”, tanning on the beach, and thrift shopping. But most of all, her greatest love and pride was her children. She did anything to her best ability for her children, protecting and providing. Her unbreakable bond with her son Seth was one nobody could impede on. She was a caring and loving mother, wife and grandmother.
Tonie was truly one of a kind. One might say the life of every party. She had a bubbly, outgoing personality, often the loudest in the room. Her quick, slick remarks and the way she could make anyone laugh, no matter how good or bad the situation at hand, will be missed. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will carry forward the lessons of kindness, resilience, and the importance of cherishing every moment.
She is survived by her husband, Greg Schermerhorn; her children, Kevin Bloomfield, Meghan McKiernan, Alexis O’Malley, and Seth Schermerhorn; her many grandchildren; her father and stepmother; and a handful of siblings, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and sister, whom she loved dearly.
As we say goodbye to Antoinette, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Her vibrant soul touched the hearts of many.
