Life story

" Monte Ernest Marohnic, a father, grandfather, and loyal friend, passed away on April 8, 2025, at the age of 65.

Monte is survived by his daughter Monica and her husband Daniel; his beloved grandchildren Kayla, Alexa, Tyler, and Peyton; his brother Mike and sister-in-law Madeleine; his nephew Justin; and his lifelong best friend Tom and his daughter Taylor Ann.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Matej and Mary Marohnic; his sister-in-law Barbie; and his nephew Joshua.

Monte had a deep love for wildlife and a special place in his heart for animals of all kinds. He spent his life caring for them with compassion and respect. His greatest passion was for horses—raising, training, and riding them brought him joy, peace, and purpose.

Monte will be remembered for his warm heart, his witty sense of humor, and his signature sign-off, “Lolm – Lots of love, Monte.” His favorite saying, “You just gottah laugh,” perfectly captured his ability to find light even in life’s toughest moments.

He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, and the quiet, steady kindness that made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him."
