Life story

" David S. Lemons, of Caroline County, passed away on April 13, 2025.

David was born on September 15, 1966 in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He worked several jobs in construction and heavy equipment, but most of his last days were spent working as a maintenance man.

David enjoyed working on vehicles and repairing things people deemed not fixable. His real passion was fishing and flying his drones.

David leaves behind his son, David Joseph Lemons of Nokesville; sister, Donna Liming (Stanley) of Spotsylvania; sister, Dorothy Peterson of Copperas Cove, Texas; sister, Jennifer Decatur of Temple, Texas; 3 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many good friends.

David was preceded in death by his father, Grover “Bootsie” Decatur; his mother, Melba Decatur; and his grandparents, Ruby and Guy Banks.

There will be no funeral service held.
