Life story

"Jack ( John Aloysuis Cerreta, Jr. ) was a doer. That is how he expressed his love and served his Lord. He would do; help, fix, build for those he loved, family and friends, and most significantly for those who just needed it. He attended church at Lifequest in Palm City, Florida and later at Faith Baptist in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

He was a father, husband, brother, uncle, and friend. He was an expert friend maker. He has many friends from way back, and many new friends. Pastimes he enjoyed most were baseball/softball, boating, diving, Stiltsville and the Daytona 500 race, from the infield, every year. He was an accomplished builder. No licenses but he did it all; plumbing, electrical, home building and renovating. He loved his 5 acre yard in Palm City, and kept it beautiful. No moss grew on this man.

Jack was born in New Rochelle, New York and moved to Florida with his parents as a toddler. He served in the United States Air Force Reserves as a medic.

He is sorely missed by his wife of 46 years, Michelle Cerreta, his two children, Casey Cerreta and Jack Cerreta, and his grandson, Ronin Swindell. He is survived by his sister, Kristi Bartlett and her two sons, BJ Bartlett and Shawn Bartlett.

A huge “Thank you” to Mary Washington Hospice which made it possible for him to be at home and comfortable in his last days. God bless you all.
