"Jonathan C. Stockler
September 21, 1954 - March 26, 2025

Jonathan Charles Stockler of Berwyn, Pennsylvania passed away suddenly at Mary Washington Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.

He is survived by his children, Melanie (Karl) & Laura; his grandchildren, Everly and Taryn; and his sister, Anne (Martin). He is predeceased by his wife, Barbara (née Hough), and his parents, Joseph and Ermine (née Simpson).

Jonathan was a graduate of Conestoga High School and Drexel Technical College, and was a brother in the Pi Lambda Phi fraternity. He was passionate about all things biology, and worked on research ranging from infant sleep science to neural lateralization. After earning two master's degrees from the University of Connecticut, he enjoyed connecting with his community in the greater Philadelphia area as a telecommunications consultant.

He loved science fiction and songs that made him laugh. He had a lifelong penchant for shooting sports and a love of nature that led him to the tops of mountains with his friends and across bicycle trails with his children. He took pride in hobbies that let him give new life to old things, and always stressed the importance of not taking oneself too seriously.

He will be remembered for his calm kindness, for his ability to “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life,” and for the love and care he showed everyone who crossed his path. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am on June 21, 2025 at Berwyn United Methodist Church. All who knew and loved Jonathan are welcome to attend.
