Life story

"On February 24th, our beloved brother Thaddeus Green was gently
embraced by the angels, guiding him home to be with the Lord. In
this profound moment, we find both solace and strength, knowing
that he is now wrapped in divine love and peace.
Thaddeus was born December 11, 1959 to Clemon and Lessie Green.
He was the youngest boy of 6 siblings. Shortly after his birth, he was
placed in the care of his godparents Preston and Alida Lemonier in
Port Arthur, TX for his upbringing and along side baby brother
(Lavelle). After 12 years of age he returned to Houston to be with his
family. Thaddeus truly loved the Lord. He was a member of The City of
Deliverance Church where he served as a Deacon. He always
poured his heart and soul into everything and Jesus was the
author and finisher of his life.
Thaddeus gave his life to the Lord at the age of 18 and lived as a
joyful son of God, balancing numerous jobs, and showing his
unwavering dedication and remarkable work ethic. But what truly
stands out is his long and cherished commitment to the City of
Houston Public Works Dept.
In that role, he didn’t just clock-in; he built relationships and contributed
to the community, making a lasting impact on the lives of those around
him. Thaddeus embodied a spirit of hard work and loyalty, and his
journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and love for one’s
community. Let us celebrate and honor his invaluable contributions.
Everyone who knew Thaddeus would say he had this incredible gift - he never met a stranger.
Seriously! He had a way of making you feel like an old friend, and his gentle spirit just shone
through. No matter where he went, he always wore that warm, infectious smile. It was like he had a
knack for brightening up the room and bringing people together. That kind of kindness is rare, and
it’s something we will cherish forever.
