Life story

" Merrill Kenneth Morgan “Ken,” age 66, was a long-time resident of King George County, Virginia. He passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025, at Mary Washington Hospital – the very place where his journey began on January 19, 1959. He attended King George County Public Schools and proudly served the U.S. Navy for four years. Following his military service, Ken worked for Virginia Electric Power Company in Dumfries, Virginia, and later in life joined Birchwood Power Plant in King George, Virginia where he dedicated himself to his well-earned retirement. He loved to hunt, fish, and watch sports (car racing, football, and golf). Ken was a loving, attentive husband, and father whose generosity knew no bounds. His kindness and humor brought joy to all who knew him. He was married to Robin (Painter) Morgan for 44 years and they had a strength together that will exceed time.

In lieu of flowers, donations for American Lung Association or Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center – Richmond, VA.

Cremation will be held by Virginia Cremation Services of Fredericksburg; VA. Memorial services will be held at the Morgan’s burial cemetery at Historyland Memorial Park & Arboretum on March 8, 2025, at 1 PM.
