Survived by her three cherished children, Rondal Baggett, Laura Clark, and Avery Resmondo, Michelle’s legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her children fondly remember her bedtime stories that always ended with a valuable life lesson, and the way she encouraged them to chase their dreams, no matter how big or small. Rondal recalls the late-night baking sessions with his mother, where they would create culinary masterpieces while sharing laughter and love.

Throughout her life, Michelle was a beacon of strength and resilience. Her unwavering dedication to the care and well-being of others led her to establish a successful career as a military nurse. Michelle enlisted in the United States Army in 1985 and was deployed to numerous conflict zones, providing critical medical support to soldiers and civilians alike. In 1991, she was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for her exceptional service during Operation Desert Storm. Her courageous actions during this time included overseeing the medical evacuation of over 200 injured personnel under hostile conditions.

In 1998, Michelle was promoted to the rank of Major and was later stationed at Fort Bragg, where she played a pivotal role in the development of advanced trauma care protocols, which significantly improved survival rates for soldiers. "
