" Janice C. Ware, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted registered nurse, passed away peacefully at her home in Colonial Beach, VA, on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the age of 92.

Born with a nurturing spirit, Janice dedicated her life to caring for others as a registered nurse, a profession she cherished alongside her late husband, Dr. Bob Ware. Their bond, which lasted for 62 years until his passing in 2016, was a testament to their love and commitment to each other. Janice held dear the memories of their years together and continued to inspire those around her with her kindness and compassion.

Janice was a proud mother to her two sons, Greg and Bob and her daughter Linda, and she found immense joy in her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a constant source of love and wisdom for her family and friends, and her legacy will live on through her many great-nieces and nephews, as well as her cherished cousins. She is survived by two granddaughters, Barbara and Melanie and her two great grandsons, Nathan & Ryker.

She is survived by her sister, Shirley, and brother-in-law Gary Anderson. She is survived by her niece Karen and nephew Gary along with their families who will always remember her warmth and guidance. Janice was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Linda, and her husband Dr. Bob Ware, with whom she shared a remarkable life filled with love and laughter.

Janice C. Ware will be remembered not only for her professional dedication but also for her deep love for family and her unwavering spirit. Her gentle heart and nurturing presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, where family and friends can gather to honor her remarkable journey and the love she so freely gave.
