Life story
" Wilson was born and raised in Rappahannock County, Virginia and went on to serve his country for many years in the Army. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran. Wilson was a retired Truck Driver of over forty years and was a lifelong member of the Moose Lodge where he enjoyed the social life and acquired many friends along the way. A true country and bluegrass music lover, he enjoyed Bluegrass festivals with his brother, Doug, and family, and any Westerns on TV. And let's not forget to mention, a faithful watcher of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy as he watched both game shows religiously every day. He was deeply saddened by the loss of his son, Michael, in 2023, and they're now back together in heaven. He loved both of his children, Michael and Pamela, along with his grandson, Travis, who was the apple of his eye, and his great-grandchildren, Jace and Brynleigh, with all his heart, and he continued to love his children's mother, Jeanie, after they divorced many years earlier and after her death in 2017. Also special to him were his parents, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, including Billy Leake, Jr.
He will be missed tremendously.
