Life story

"Amber (Adams) Tebbs,
beloved daughter, wife ,mother and friend to all who met her passed away peacefully at home with family.
Born to Arza and Clytie Adams in the summer of 1930 in the small community of Dryfork Utah.
one of seven children, Amber lost two sister's ( Betty Rae Adams and Earledine Adams ) and one brother (Terrance Glenn Adams ).
Amber attended school in Maeser and Excelled in Business, Drama, and Music, she was very impressed by three of her teacher's in high school.Mrs. Battey who taught English, Mrs Caldwell who taught business and Mrs. oaks. all of them had a huge impact upon her life.
Amber was surprised when she received an Honors award her senior year for her work in school.
After high school Amber moved to New York to study voice under Olive Harris who had retired from The Metropolitan Opera for a year, while there she was a Nanny for a family.
She them moved back to dryfork and went to work for an auto parts company in the business office keeping books.
she then went to work at Showalter Ford in the business office, where she meet her husband Barney.
he invited her to St George to show her the area and told her he would send her home by bus. She had to get approval from her father to go, her father trusted her enough that he let her go and Barney sent her home by bus like he told her he would. Amber loved the surroundings in St. George and soon they were married and living in St George where they did accounting work. they struggled through the early years but eventually they opened their own accounting business and started to prosper.
Amber was raised in the LDS faith and fulfilled many church positions through out her life. her two passions were her faith and singing. ( she even sang in the Tabernacle choir at one point)
I'm 1958 they were blessed with being able to adopt a daughter (Jennifer) through church services five years later they were given the opportunity to adopt a second child, a boy they named Trevor.
as the business grew they needed help with the children and housekeeping so they took in a young woman (Elaine) from Ireland to help them.
Elaine soon became family to us and helped raise us but then Elaine married her love Carey Brinkerhoff and began her family which we consider our family also. Barney and Amber's business continued to grow as did their children and they moved around the St. George area opening an office in town and moving to Bloomington.
Jennifer met the love of her life (Kelly Peterson) and they married and started their life together
Amber loved children and Jennifer and Kelly soon blessed her with her first grand child,(Rori). Rori grew up and married Jed Sawyer and they in turn blessed her with her first great grand child ( Lexi) followed by a second great grand child (Stellan).
Trevor met Candice and they blessed her with Windy, Victoria, Zakary, and Taylor and Taylor blessed her with her third great grandchild Arraya Sunshine.
Amber's grayest joy in life was when her grandchildren and great grandchildren got to visit, she adored them all and was happiest when they were around.

In 2002 they left St George for good and moved to Roosevelt Ut. and Barney passed away Aug. of 2010.
Amber through all of these years was active in her faith and served in the LDS
church in many calling's up until 2020.
She loved God, her family, music, her neighbors and friends and would help anyone in need,
Her health declined in the last years of her life and she suffered and overcame many trials never complaining and always making an amazing comeback but 2024 took it's toll on her and not once did she complain. She trusted God and her friends in the community and they all answered her prayers.
Thank you Jolene, Fred and Brenda for your friendship and all the support you provided her, she loved you with all her heart.
I also wish to thank all my cousins Earledine and Jay , Russ and Irbis, Brian and Joye, Lydia and Phil, Rochelle and Sam. you all played a huge role in helping care for her and Barney in their time in Roosevelt, and her love for you is without measure.
Amber's gentle kind spirit will be missed by everyone who knew her !
