Life story

"Brenda L. Ford (Gordon) was born in her family's home on Stambaugh Ave on the southside of Columbus Ohio on February 7, 1950 to the late Mary Nell (Lunsford), and Harry C. Gordon. She would be raised by her uncle and aunt in Youngstown, Ohio where she graduated from North High School in 1968. In 1969, she would give birth to her beautiful daughter Michele Gordon. In 1970, she would marry Charles Ford and start what would be a 30 year career at Ohio Bell. In 1974, she gave birth to Charles T. Ford, followed by sons Micahel D. Ford in 1976, and Christopher L. Ford in 1978.

Brenda was a family oriented person that carried over her often accepting the neighborhood children into her home as if they were her own. In 1995, she gave her life to Christ becoming a licensed minister in the church that she loved so much, Temple of Faith COGIC, in July of 1995 and became an ordained Elder in September of 2019. Brenda loved to sew and often made quilts for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved the holidays, she often organized gatherings for family and friend to come together.
As she reached her retirement from AT&T in 2000 at the age 50 . She would enjoy traveling and shopping.
 Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Harry C. Gordon, Mary Nell Gordon (Lunsford, and her brother William Lee Gordon. She leaves to cherish her memory her children Michele L. Gordon, Charles T. Ford, Michael D. Ford, Christopher L. Ford, her brother Gregory Gordon, her sister Andrea Zoumanigui (Gordon), her beloved grandchildren, Maurice D. Gordon and Amiaha L. Gordon Michael D. Ford Jr.,Raekwon Hardin ,Mekhai. A WoodFork , Mieyour D. Ford , Josiah A.Ford, Myshon J. Price, Keion O. Price , Chrineisha M. Ford, Chrisha M. Ford, Chrishana M. Ford, Chriniah M. Ford. Brenda also leaves 15 great grandchildren, nieces Delois and Jazsmine Gordon, along with many other relatives and friends.
