Life story

"James “Jim” Allen Spiker of Johnson City, TN, became whole again in body and spirit on the evening of November 14, 2024, four days after his 52nd birthday.
He was strong and fearless in his long time battle with Polycystic Kidney Disease.

As a man of many interests and talents, Jim was well known for his passion and love for skateboarding. He was very talented in this lifetime hobby of his that led to many friendships, leaving lasting impressions on many.

Jim loved to draw and doodle and leaves behind many books and canvases of his unique artwork. Jim loved to sing and play guitar. He also loved to travel and go to concerts, seeing many of his favorite bands over the years.
Most of all Jim loved spending time with his family and friends.

A multitude of family and friends that remain will always remember and miss him for his kindness, huge heart, stupid “Dad jokes” and his loyal, loving friendship.

Those that will miss him the most are his wife of 31 years, Penelope “Penny” Benvenutti Spiker and his son, Israel Spiker. Also, his sister Mandy Pike (Gibson) as well as many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews and not to forget his two feline companions, Comet and Knox.

Services for Jim will be held at Heritage Baptist Church, 1512 John Exum Parkway, Johnson City, TN on Monday, December 16, 2024. Visitation for family and friends will be from 6-7pm, followed by service officiated by Pastor Charlie Scalf at 7pm."
