Life story

"Tara Rena Marley was born in Midwest City, Oklahoma June 27th, 1971 to her parents Randi Marley (deceased) and Sharon Baker. She later grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma and went to Edmond Public Schools. She had the joy of having the love of a second father, Tim Baker, who helped guide her and raise her throughout her highschool years. Tara graduated from Edmond Memorial High School in 1989, where she laid the foundation for a life full of purpose and connection with childhood friends. Tara was always a happy and inquisitive child, full of adventure seeking and laughter. She loved her brother, Jared Marley very much and all of their adventures together growing up. After highschool she attended the University of Central Oklahoma where she obtained a bachelors and masters degree in psychology. During this time Tara had two beautiful daughters Kelsey Williams and Mackenzie Dobbins. Tara poured all her energy into creating a loving, nurturing home. Her dedication to raising her girls became the cornerstone of her life. Tara always longed to continue her educational journey first working as a school counselor, registered behavioral therapist, and then getting licensed in various fields. Her final job was working as an insurance coordinator. Tara loved traveling with her girls; she enjoyed the mountains, shopping, walking along the beach, listening to the waves and feeling the sunshine. Tara had a free spirit and a light, tender heart. Her family and friends lost precious years together with Tara due to terminal brain cancer. Though the illness took precious years from the family and friends, it never dimmed the love her girls, family, and loved ones longed for. Tara will be remembered not for the years lost, but for the lasting legacy of love, resilience, and kindness left behind. Tara never encouraged sadness, but always happiness and peace. She went to be with the Lord on November 19th, 2024. "
