Life story

"Yvonne Marie Brown
March 18, 1947 - September 28, 2024

Yvonne was a loving sweet lady who loved God, family, animals, football and music.
Her pride and joy was her son Marlin. She taught him to be a good man, father, husband and person. She always encouraged him to do well in school and follow his dream of playing football and working with youth. She was always the team mother of all his teams and took him to all the football practices and games as a youth and went to all his games in high school and even flew out to Washington State University to see some of his college games. She was an outstanding mother, a great woman and had the biggest impact and influence on Marlin’s life and the one person who knew him better than anyone.
She loved all of five of her grandchildren very much and had a special bond with each of them.
She had one granddaughter Jazmyn, three grandsons MB, Mar Mar and MJ and one great grandson AJ. She loved them all very much. Her grand daughter Jazmyn had a very close and loving relationship with her. She truly enjoyed spending time with her and always supported her in everything she did and showered her with love and affection. They would talk for hours and share their thoughts, opinions and feelings. She was so proud of all of her grandchildren and she encouraged them all to love each other and be the best people they could be. MB and Mar Mar would check in on her daily and see if she needed anything and tell her how much they loved her. MJ and AJ always loved her very much.
Yvonne lived here with Marlin and Joy for over a decade and was very grateful to them for their love and care. While living her, she enjoyed her daily visits with her son and grandsons, as well as weekly visits with Jazmyn and spending time and playing with with her favorite cat Kubo.
She also enjoyed reading books, listening to music, watching the 49ers and spending time with Tina and her other friends at the bead shop.
Besides being an outstanding mother and grandmother, she was also a secretary at Stanford University for the vice Provost for over 25 years before retiring.
She loved listening to music and Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder and her former husband Ben Brown were her favorite artist.
She has always loved the Lord and always made sure that MARLIN and her grandchildren knew how much the Lord loved them.
We know she is now in heaven with grandma Lucille, grandma and grandpa Covello and uncle Bob.
Her legacy of love, strength, happiness, and support of others lives on through her son and grandchildren, daughter-in-law, sister Debbie and several nephews, nieces, and other family members.
She also shared a special love and bond with Joy‘s mother Josephine Orinion.
She will always be loved, missed and in our hearts.
She was known as Mom, Grandma, Mama Yvonne, Mama Brown and Mrs. Brown.
