Life story

"It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dawn Matlack Nacke, who left us on October 31, 2024.

Dawn was a strong Independent woman. She loved her family. The beach was her happy place. She loved her job, she was such a people person. Throughout her life, Dawn worked as a server, bringing smiles to countless faces with her warm and welcoming personality. She was known for her infectious laughter and kind heart, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. She was very creative and loved decorating for holidays. Dawn was a hard worker, had a bright personality, confident spirit, and spread joy where ever she was. She was the life of the party. She won her battle with cirrhosis, but unfortunately lost her battle with cancer. Dawn faced her battle with cancer with courage and grace, never losing her sense of humor or positive outlook on life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She will forever be remembered through her thousands of devoted customers who she adored. She will be remembered by her friends and family who have been there through it all. She will be remember by her four children who love her and will spend everyday making her proud. She will be remembered through her grandchildren who she spoiled so dearly. Heaven was graced with a golden angel. Now she is reunited with her parents who she has missed so deeply."
