"After her long fight against cancer while living with dementia our mom Barbara Ann O’Malley passed away peacefully in her warm bed on October 24th. Our mom had 3 lovely sisters Catherine, Diane and Sharon, she loved her hometown of Portland Maine where she grew up the youngest of 4 daughters to John and Margaret O’Malley. Her next chapter in life brought her to the MerryMount neighborhood of Quincy where she raised her 3 sons Kevin, Paul and Jimmy. She loved those boys and dedicated her life to making sure they had all they needed to ensure a strong foundation for their lives to prosper. After her retirement from working in the records department at Allstate insurance company she spent many hours enjoying walks along Wollaston beach and spending time with her husband Mathew Molloy. Her final years were spent living with her son Paul in the Idlewell neighborhood in Weymouth where she quickly met many new friends on her daily walks and while doing yard work she loved so much…We know that our mother was a person much loved by everyone for her affection, friendship and joy. We will forever have her in our memory and in our hearts with much gratitude and longing….Her kids Kevin, Paul and Jimmy!"
