" Lisa Gayle Barry-Scarcia-Jones

January 31, 1966 - October 16, 2024

Lisa Gayle Barry-Scarcia-Jones, 58, of Fredericksburg VA, passed away October 16, 2024, after her valiant battle with breast cancer.

Lisa was born on January 31, 1966 to William and Gail Barry in Allentown, PA. Graduating from Allentown High School in 1983.

Lisa devoted her life to raising and loving her two children; Rachel and Nicky. Known to all for her youthful energy Lisa was always included in her children's lives. Lisa's passions in life were getting her daily workout at the local YMCA, taking long walks with her closest girlfriends, listening to music whether in her car or around the house. She was a frequent concert goer. It warmed Lisa's heart to make her family's favorite meal. And at the end of the day curling up on the sofa with her favorite Golden Retriever.

Lisa spent many years as a paraprofessional at Grafton Elementary where she was loved and adored by students and teachers alike. Lisa gave her all to everything she tackled in life. Her kindness and empathy for others was unsurpassed. Lisa cherished deeply her relationships local and afar, from her childhood girlfriends from PA; Gina, Trisha, and Michele to Lisa's local girls; Becky, Claire, and Cabell.

Lisa is survived by her husband "Thom" Emory Jones III; her children, Rachel Scarcia and Nicky Scarcia; her step-sons, Jake Jones and Will Jones; her mother, Gail Barry; predeceased by her father, William Barry; her brother, Mike Barry; her in-laws, Emory Jones II and Sandra Jones; Lisa's prior husband Domenic Scarcia; and Lisa's Golden Retriever Indiana "Indie" Jones.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the residence of Domenic Scarcia at 2 Infantry Ln, Fredericksburg, VA. on Friday October 25 from 5-8 p.m. A future celebration will be held in Allentown, PA; date and time TBD. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to the Golden Retriever Rescue Education and Training facility in VA, MD, PA. www.grreat.org."
